Road Trip

We took a week long trip across the USA; salvaging windows destined to the landfills.  It is so sad that so many people buy homes that have historical features only to rip them out and throw them away as if they were garbage.  These windows have been in the their present location for 90 years or more, they have weathered everything nature, humans, and time has thrown their way and have come out a little beaten but still standing!  I understand that they are a mess! Yes, it is expensive to restore them, but with proper maintenance they can last an additional 90 years. Do the math!

Suppose you have to replace replacement windows at best within 20 years of installation, in that case you would have replaced them three times going onto your fourth time within the 90 years the steel windows have already been installed. Imagine once they have been restored, using rust inhibiting primer, oil based paints, double paned glass and new glaze, you now have a window that can last decades! SO worth it, so beautiful, so much more equity to your home!

What our customers have to say;

Absolutely great work!  Omar was honest and hard working.  He was always willing to stop and explain every aspect of the restoration.  He was as excited as I to see the results of a long days work!  H.P. Steel Windows worked with me to accomplish my vision.                                                                    J.F.
